My Current Top Five Netflix Shows!

Alright, so here's the deal - I'm a college student. I don't have to tell you that I spend an admittedly large amount of my free time binge watching Netflix! Sometimes, after a long day of classes, it's nice to unwind while watching my favorite tv show or movie.

With such a large selection, Netflix quickly became very popular across the globe. There's something for everyone to enjoy, and it's very affordable! Personally, I enjoy it because I don't have a tv in my dorm room, so I just use my laptop instead (good ol' accessible wifi). In fact, I have an ever growing list of favorite shows that I'd love to share with you today! Don't worry - I'm going to limit it to my current top five (in no particular order).

Without further ado, here are My Current Top Five Netflix Shows!

 1. Reign

For all of you history aficionados who love a bit of fiction mixed in with your fact, this show is definitely for you. Reign is about Mary, Queen of Scots and is full of mystery, scandal, and all the 16th century drama one could wish for! (Plus, the fashion in the show is beyond beautiful!) When I went through the series, I became so invested in the characters and found myself needing to keep watching! Trust me, you will get hooked!

2. Supernatural

I'm just going to come right out and say it - I'm a huge geek about Supernatural. I watched all nine of the seasons that are on Netflix and I cannot wait until season ten comes out on DVD! Yes, the show can be cheesy, but that's all a part of the charm....right? Haha! Anyone who loves the idea of two (handsome...wink, wink) brothers traveling across America in an awesome car, fighting monsters and other various evils will definitely enjoy this show. Just get through the cheesiness of the first couple of episodes, and you'll be so into it that you won't even notice it anymore! (P.s, if you watch the show already...which brother do you like more? I'm totally a Dean girl!)

3. Fringe

Thanks to my sister, I'm completely enamored with this show. I just started it a couple of days ago, and I'm almost to the end of season one (there are 21 episodes, and I'm on episode 15...I should probably be embarrassed by that fact...haha!) It's a crime show that surrounds the life of an FBI agent named Olivia and she solves the most...peculiar cases. Everything that is involved has to do with fringe science (fields of science that are typically looked at as taboo or unorthodox, such as telekinesis) and it's crazy how intense the episodes can get! It's written by J.J Abrams, the creator of the tv show Lost. So far, Fringe definitely has my approval and I will be sure to keep you guys updated on my opinion through my Twitter!

 4. The Walking Dead

I have been an avid fan of The Walking Dead ever since it was first aired on AMC. If you are into zombie/post apocalyptic shows, then this show is for you. It's full of excitement and gore, and it has some of the best actors I've seen in a modern tv show in a while! Based off of the comic series by the same name, The Walking Dead follows the life of Rick Grimes as he tries to protect his friends and family during the zombie apocalypse. The character development that happens in this show is truly wonderful and intriguing, and the filming is very well done. The Walking Dead has been in my top five for a long time, and it will definitely stay there!

 5. New Girl
In this comedy, Zoey Deschanel portrays a woman named Jess, who is very...interesting. She's silly, and wacky, and completely hilarious (in her own way). Because of certain circumstances (I don't want to spoil the hilarity!), Jess finds herself moving into an apartment with three single guys and the living situations get pretty crazy, to say the least. One episode after the next is filled with great comedy, and an interesting story line. Honestly, I just can't help but laugh uncontrollably at this show!

And that's it! Let me know if we have some of the same favorites or if you're going to try out one of my suggestions! You can always reach me on my Twitter or Tumblr accounts!

Happy Netflix-ing!
