about me

Hello everyone!
My name is Desirée, and I am 19 years old.

What does the name melodydamsel mean? you may ask yourself. Well, it's supposed to represent who I believe I am: a woman with a song in her heart.

I’m someone who is passionate about the Arts. I love anything and everything music, art, photography, drama/musical theatre, and fashion. Personally, I find artistic ability in video games, film making, and also orchestrated music, which is why I’m such a huge geek. I've grown up playing video games, and I will probably continue playing video games until I'm an old granny. Some of my favorite games include The Legend of Zelda, The Bioshock Series, most Bethesda games, and I really like MMOs. But that's just to name a few, there are many more where that came from. I also am into many different generes of "geeky" television and movies, things such as Doctor Who, Supernatural, The Walking Dead, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, and many others. (Why don't you tweet or ask me on tumblr about specifics )

I play five instruments—piano, flute, guitar, mandolin, and ukulele. I also sing, and there’s a link to my Soundcloud in my page bar. (◡ ‿ ◡ ✿) I am currently in my Sophomore year of college living on campus while studying Music Education, Voice being my primary instrument. It's a blast, and though it's not an easy field to study, I'm loving every second of it. I’m hoping to become a Fine Arts teacher, so that I can teach children the beauty of the Arts and the power of music and words
(´∀`)♡ it’s so beautiful!

I enjoy participating in Theatre, especially Musical Theatre. I think there is nothing that can surpass the emotions that someone can portray on a stage. I have been a part of my college's productions of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as Olive Ostrovsky and Into the Woods as the Baker's Wife and I can't wait for fall semester to start so I can add more to that list. ♡

So yes, that is in short, Desiree. If you wanna know anything else, just comment, or tweet, or ask me on tumblr!
